  • Back-up Rings

    Back-up Rings

Back-up rings are the most common anti-extrusion devices employed in dynamic and static sealing, designed to prevent the migration of sealing material into the extrusion gap under the system pressure. Parker offers a wide range of back-up ring geometries and materials to suit every seal type and application. They are open or closed shapes for snap assembly made of a broad range of compounds which are highly resistant to thermal or mechanical stress. Parker back-up rings help reduce costly downtime and ensure long-term functional reliability.

  • Buffer Seals

    Buffer Seals

Buffer seals are primary seals in tandem sealing configurations. Designed to withstand pressure peaks from the system, Parker hydraulic buffer seals employ an unsymmetrical cross-section design and are often combined with anti-extrusion rings to prevent gap extrusion. State-of-the-art designs include a pressure-relief functionality from the low pressure side, addressing concerns related to drag-oil pressure trapped between the tandem elements. Our comprehensive selection of premium buffer seals are designed for use with hydraulic cylinders, providing excellent wear resistance, and high pressure capabilities. Parker buffer seals combine advanced polymer materials, such as PTFE or TPU with sophisticated product design.

  • Cushioning Seals

    Cushioning Seals

In pneumatic cylinders, cushioning seals are part of a design that provides for controlled final position retardation. Up on approaching the final position, a tapered sleeve, firmly located on the piston rod, progressively closes off the open passage toward the line connection of the cylinder. In this phase of motion, the defluent medium is led via a, usually adjustable, needle valve, the adjustment of which controls the degree of stroke movement retardation. During reverse operation, the cushioning seal designs provide a non-return valve functionality and ensure free flow. Parker offers robust seal profiles, suitable for the harshest operating conditions and showing extreme wear and high-temperature resistance.

  • Custom Seals

    Custom Seals

Parker has the skills and experience to offer custom seals that are completely unique and designed exclusively for a specific application profile. Parker’s application engineers are on hand to ensure you get the best solution for your application needs, whether those be functional requirements, gland limitations, installation improvements, etc. Our advanced material know-how and design expertise is at your fingertips whenever you require a bespoke sealing solution.

  • Fastener Seals

    Fastener Seals

Parker´s fastener seals are composite sealing washers, consisting of a metallic carrier and a vulcanized elastomer sealing lip. They provide a static sealing function on flanges or threaded connections, and consistently assure ideal compression conditions between the housing components to prevent the destruction of the sealing lip.

  • Flange Seals

    Flange Seals

Parker´s fastener seals are composite sealing washers, consisting of a metallic carrier and a vulcanized elastomer sealing lip. They provide a static sealing function on flanges or threaded connections, and consistently assure ideal compression conditions between the housing components to prevent the destruction of the sealing lip.

  • O-Rings and O-Ring Accessories

    O-Rings and O-Ring Accessories

O-rings are circular sealing elements with circular cross-sections, and are mainly used in static applications. The sizes are specified by the inside diameter and the cross section diameter. Our O-rings are manufactured according to metric and imperial international standards such as AS 568B, DIN ISO 3601 and JIS. Custom sizes of almost any dimension are possible, such as miniature O-rings, special O-rings with large dimensions and continuously molded and spliced cord. We utilize O-ring compounds formulated to meet the most stringent industry standards, including FDA, USP, KTW, DVGW, BAM, WRAS (WRC), NSF, Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Aerospace (AMS) and many customer-specific requirements.

  • Piston Seals

    Piston Seals

Parker piston seals for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and actuators are designed to separate applied pressure between the piston and the rod side during the stroke movement. They are available as single-acting and double acting seals in a wide range of compound and profile configurations to meet diverse applications: high and low temperatures and pressures, a wide variety of media, harsh operating conditions, various friction requirements, etc. Parker piston seals can cover working temperatures from -50°C to 230°C and working pressures up to 800 bar. Some seal profiles are insensitive to extreme pressure peaks. There are piston seals available that comply with ISO 6020, ISO 5597 and ISO 7425-1 standards.

  • Rod Seals

    Rod Seals

Parker rod seals for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and actuators seal the applied system pressure against the atmosphere side. Their purpose is to prevent external leakage and thus avoid contamination of the ambient environment. They are available as single-acting and double acting seals. High-pressure applications usually require a tandem rod sealing system including a buffer seal. Rod seals typically interact with wiper elements in the cylinder sealing system. A wide range of compound and profile configurations is available to meet the specific application profile. There are rod seals available that comply with ISO 6020, ISO 5597 and ISO 7425-2 standards.

  • Rotary Seals & Bearing Isolators

    Rotary Seals & Bearing Isolators

Rotary seals separate system pressures and media against the atmosphere under rotating movements of the opposing surface. There are two generic categories of rotary seals: high-pressure/low-velocity (rotor seals) and low-pressure/high-velocity (rotary shaft seals). Both symmetrical and unsymmetrical designs are available. Parker´s bearing isolator selection includes non-contact, labyrinth designs which provide unsurpassed bearing protection for rotary shaft equipment. It is designed to retain lubrication and exclude aggressive contaminants in non-flooded applications. Specialty isolators include dual-contacting versions for flooded and oil mist applications, among many others.

  • Static Seals

    Static Seals

Static seals provide the sealing function in all applications in which no movement of the sealing element versus the sealing surface relative to one another occurs. Parker's offering of sealing solutions for static applications is among the industry's broadest. They are manufactured to metric and imperial international standards, are available in custom sizes, and employ compounds formulated to meet the most stringent industry-standard and customer-specific requirements.

  • Valve Seals

    Valve Seals

Valve seals are dynamic piston or rod seals used for sealing valve spools. Typically, the designs are very slim with small diameters to suit valve requirements. Most valve seal designs are tailored to meet the specific application profile.

  • Guiding Elements and Guiding Tapes

    Guiding Elements and Guiding Tapes

Guiding elements provide the bearing function between the metallic components of the cylinder during the stroke movement and in static conditions. They prevent metallic contact between pistons and cylinders or rods and glands where forces act perpendicular to the direction of movement. The guide ring design shows a circular, but open preform and therefore lends itself to easy assembly. The guiding tape design is endless and can be cut to any desired length. The tape is wound as a flat coil or spiral preform.

  • Wiper Seals

    Wiper Seals

Wipers are designed to prevent any contamination of the system by external particles or other environmental impacts during translatoric movements in cylinders and actuators. They also provide the static sealing function on the cylinder head versus the atmosphere. Some double-acting designs also reduce the drag oil film during outstroke.

  • Spacers

    Spacers

Parker's spacers simplify assembly processes. They define the required space between two components and enhance the precision of adhesive bonding or joining processes. Parker offers spacers in different contours enabling the application of defined contact pressures and optimal adaptation to diverse surfaces. For ease of positioning, spacers have double-sided adhesive system that can be adapted to the mating components. The parts feature precision kiss-cutting (preliminary die cutting except for the adhesive tape/liner) for easy separation and processing.
